Northcote’s chef patron Nigel Haworth has probably done more than any other local chef to enthusiastically and energetically champion the cause of Lancashire food. Local artisan suppliers are genuinely treasured and encouraged by Nigel and Craig Bancroft, his joint managing director.
Retaining its coveted Michelin star for 10 years, Northcote is enjoying growing national and international acclaim as a fine food destination and now has 14 beautifully refurbished bedrooms and a contemporary restaurant and dining room.
It is hard to find anything on the seasonally changing menu that is not sourced locally. Nigel and his team are passionate about seasonal cooking and it shows. Game comes from Eaves Farm, corn-fed chicken from Goosnargh, vegetables from farms around Hesketh Bank, milk and dairy products from Simson’s. You will find delicious ways with Morecambe Bay shrimps, as well as the best quality Bowland beef.
