From "coco," as in chocolate, and "moyo," which is Swahili for heart, chocolates at Cocomoyo are handmade on-site at Backridge Farm, a new development that is worth a visit in its own right. Proprietor Lisa uses local milk, cream and eggs from Rugglesmere Farm at Bashall to make her fantastic range, which includes blended, single estate and single origin chocolate, truffles, gianduja pastes flavoured with tonka, praline and a whole host of surprising flavours. One of the most popular options for the true chocolate enthusiast are 1kg slabs of white, milk or dark chocolate, with additions of freeze-dried strawberries, chillis, ginger, chocolate fudge brownie, or cranberry and almond.
