Fairfield Farm Shop

Phil and Louise Edge run this exceptional butchery, which has a strong philosophy of complete honesty and integrity about its products. Pork sold in the shop is from the adjoining farm and sausages, bacon, ham and gammon are produced on-site and in full view of the public, who are actively encouraged to see the processes, such as bacon curing.

Fairfield’s range has expanded to include local chicken, beef, lamb, eggs, seasonal vegetables and cheese. You will also find good-quality frozen ready meals from nearby Mellor and bread from Blackburn.

Fairfield Farm Shop, situated on the A59, has won many awards for quality products produced with care and transparency - from farm to plate - with experience, intelligence and passion.

  • Fairfield has a loyal following, with one customer making a regular trek from North Wales for Boerwors sausage, and the Edges and their customers like a chat. It is worth the wait. 
  • Gluten-free "no gunk sausages" are available for people with food intolerances. 
  • Fairfield hosts visits from "foodie" groups, schools and catering colleges, and offers butchery, curing and sausage-making demonstrations, with lunch or a light evening meal part of the package.
